OmniMeat Fried Vegan Wonton with Grapefruit Salad

Ingredients

  • OmniMeat Mince 1 pack (230g)
  • Carrots, grated 2 tbsp (15g)
  • Chopped Spring Onion 3 tbsp (15g)
  • Garlic Powder 1⁄2 tsp (2.5g)
  • Salt 1⁄4 tsp (1.25g)
  • Sesame Oil 1 tsp (5ml)
  • Wonton Wrappers 10-15 pcs
  • Oil, for fryingAs appropriate
  • Grapefruit/Pomelo, broken into pieces 1.5 cups (345g)
  • Pomegranate seeds 1⁄2 cup (115g)
  • Mint Leaves A handful
  • Sugar Snap Peas, sliced A handful
  • Lime Juice 1 tbsp (15ml)

Steps

Step 1

In a bowl, combine OmniMeat Mince, carrots, spring onion, garlic powder, salt and sesame oil. Mix until well combined.

Step 2

Position wonton wrapper on your kitchen countertop with points at the top and bottom. Scoop about 2 teaspoons of the fillings. Place it onto the center of the wonton wrapper. Dampen the edge of the top half of the wrapper. Fold up to form a triangle. Using two hands, pull the 2 corners down. Pinch and seal.

Step 3

Fry the wonton for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until golden brown. Once cooked, transfer to a plate and set aside.

Step 4

To prepare the salad, combine grapefruits, pomegranate seeds, mint leaves and sugar snap peas in a bowl. Squeeze the lime over the salad. Mix to combine.

Step 5

Place a few pieces of wonton on a serving plate and some of the grapefruit salad. Serve and enjoy!
